However, we can and should show this side to the Lord when we pray because the more truthful and forthright we are with him, the better relationship we will have and the more we will grow spirutally. The Lord wants us to come to him as if we were children and NOT try to make our prayers seem holy. He is the holy one and no matter what we do, it will be nothing compared to his holiness. So, we should come to him as we would our best friend- in fact, tell him even more than you would your best friend - he is not going to run away or stop loving you. :) He will just help you through. |
